Last week Manchester based duo Gymnast independently released their debut album 'Wild Fleet'. In an attempt to appease the culture of streaming and also build support ahead of the release, the band have made a different track available to stream from the album for the last 10 weeks. The band (Cathy Wilcock and Chris Lyon) have support from 6 Music's Tom Robinson and have also toured with Music Liberation favourite Torres.

'Wild Fleet' showcases the groups penchant for melodic pop songs but there's much greater depth than just that, with careful song-writing and a clear knowledge of musical arrangement present throughout. Drawing comparisons with London Grammar, Wild Beasts, and Alt-J, Gymnast take the listener on an interesting journey during the album's 10 tracks, with dark themes often intertwined with upbeat sounds.

God Damn are a duo hailing from the West Midlands - 'Horus' is their latest single which is due to be released through One Little Indian on October 27th.

We caught them at this year's 2000 Trees festival and have been hooked ever since. They are due to drop their debut album next year, ahead of which come tours with Turbowolf and Kagoule.

We like them...ALOT.
