Station Model Violence 'Station Model Violence' (Static Shock Records)
The debut self-titled album from Australian post-punk four piece, Station Model Violence. Fuzzy guitars and a repetitive tempo drive most of the songs on this 10 track album, available via Static Shock Records.
Chalk 'Crystalpunk' (Alter Music)
Crystalpunk is the debut album from Belfast post punk electronic duo Chalk, comprising of Ross Cullen [vocalist + producer] and Benedict Goddard [multi-instrumentalist + director]. A ten track album that is at times abrasive and chaotic, but then at other points is equally measured and direct.
Hey Colossus 'Heaven Was Wild' (Wrong Speed Records)
The latest album (number 15!) from the evergreen, experimental, hard rock group, Hey Colossus. This one was recorded in just 7 days and from that you can tell there was a real sense of urgency and free-flowing ideas, most of which hit really well!
Nathan Fake 'Evaporator' (InFine)
Evaporator is the first album for Nathan Fake on the InFine label, and his seventh record in total. This latest offering from the electronic artist is somewhat lighter than his previous work, containing shimmering ambient sounds alongside more familiar techno based songs.
Armed For Apocalypse 'The Earth Is Breathing Beneath Me' (Church Road Records)
The fourth album for Armed For Apocalypse is 11 tracks of dissonant and crushing bleak post-metal. Based in Portland, Oregon, the band have settled on a line-up which has delivered their most confident album to date.
