ARTIST: SLAVES
ALBUM: ARE YOU SATISFIED?
LABEL: VIRGIN EMI
Out this week is 'Are You Satisfied?', the debut album from Tunbridge Wells 2-piece Slaves. Laurie Vincent and Isaac Holman have been gradually building momentum over the past 18 months in the lead up to this release, with regular gigs interspersed with festival appearances and radio/tv slots.
We first caught them supporting Blood Red Shoes at the Electric Ballroom early last year, and have seen their name jump out at us ever since and have therefore been eager to check the record out.

'Are You Satisfied?' is an interesting mix of present and past punk rock, with The Guardian rather obviously labelling them as 'mixing Royal Blood's minimalist blues-punk dynamics with Sleaford Mods' acerbic, state-of-the-nation lyrics', which we of course get where your coming from Guardian team, but come on guys you're better than that...(ED: which of course, we are not, clearly!).
