'Someone is Missing' is a short collection of songs from French singer-songwriter Joanna Lorho, who goes by the name of Payne and has been based for the past few years in Brussels. She is joined on the record by cellist Corentin Dellicour and multi instrumentalist Stephane Daubersy.
The album is a defiant nod to melancholy, with some bleak sparse sounds mixed with Payne's calming and haunting vocals, think Marika Hackman, Warpaint, Keaton Henson, and Laura Marling to start off with, but there's clearly much to be discovered with Payne and her influences/ideas.
