We recently caught up with Come On Live Long, one of the artists we nominated for this years Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition, for a quick chat to find out more about them and to see how they feel about making the 2016 longlist.
ML: Congratulations on making it onto the longlist for this years Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition, how does it feel to make the list?
COME ON LIVE LONG: It feels fantastic especially when you begin to imagine the amount of bands that probably applied. We are delighted to make the longest list indeed.
ML: Have you been to Glastonbury before, and what would it mean to you to play there?
COME ON LIVE LONG: We have never been to Glastonbury but we usually get together in someone's house and watch all the coverage of it. If we were to play there I can safely say we probably wouldn’t come back from it, we would hide under the stage and play eye spy until next years festival comes back around!
ML: What made you decide to enter this years ETC? Have you entered before?
COME ON LIVE LONG: Eh…it’s a chance to play at Glastonbury no?…nuff said!
ML: Have you played at festivals before? Do you like that setting?
COME ON LIVE LONG: Yeah we have done the festival circuit in Ireland. We love the festival buzz especially when you don’t over do it the night before the show!
ML: Lets say you make it to the main stage at Glastonbury, what's the three things you have on your tour rider?
COME ON LIVE LONG: Special features edition DVD of Point Break, a chessboard and several dogs of varying shapes and sizes.
ML: For those who don't know you, how would you describe your sound/style, and what are you influences?
COME ON LIVE LONG: We describe our sound as ‘seriously amazing’ core and our influences can mostly be traced back to the Goonies.
ML: What does 2016 have in store for Come on live long?
COME ON LIVE LONG: We will be releasing our second album in Autumn 2016. After that some touring and we hope to come to London again and also do some touring in Europe.
ML: Where can we find out more about you?
